The new age is nearing.

So, as I sit here 2 days away from my birthday, I am really thinking hard about the future. I have decided to join the RCMP (hopefully, if they want me) but I am not so sure I want to jump into it once I am finished my contract here in another year.
Yesterday, I really thought about what I truly wanted to do before I settle down into a lifelong career...or do I start that now? No, I've decided I want to travel. I want to spend a year in Korea teaching English, after that year, I want to travel all over, Thailand, Africa, Spain, and parts of Europe for another year.
I just feel that if I enroll in the RCMP right now, I may not get a chance to travel. It's truly what I want to do, see the world and help other people. It's in me. I want to see all this before I have to settle down and commit to something for the rest of my life. I know I am making the right decision, I want to travel.
So yeah, that's where I'm at. I am putting the RCMP on hold, not away, just on hold. There's too much for me to see out there to start my career now. So I've decided.
The funny thing is, the picture I have posted, taken 23 years ago, 2 days after I was born. I know your thinkin, sweet faux-hawk, I know, I styled it myself! Can you believe it, where does the time go. The big 2-3. Another year gone, another one started.
What do you think? I need some input on this whole travelling idea!

Kel!

You should definitely travel if you can afford to. Trust me, if you wait...you may nevr do the kind of travelling that you want to do. You are so young. The career path will always be there when you get back. And who says that you can't explore more than on career in a lifetime! Be safe, explore the world!
